I was looking at the image of the New Corpsman Training on the Marine Pain Chart and noticed a possible error on the downward pointing arrow. Now, I know, and respect, that this Substack displays a Marine POV, but I think every Navy Corpsman knows that it should be labeled "PENICILLIN". Just sayin', no aspersions meant to be cast.

Ah, Motrin…in my line of work referred to as “sapper candy”. Couldn’t have made it to retirement without it.

Got up wrong off a bench, tried to jerk up a wet bail of straw by the wires, hit my head on the door lintel jumping off the school bus…never anything heroic or glamorous (except that one time I got tossed off my horse playing broom polo, which was still kind of stupid).

My Rotator Cuff Surgery was due to me trying to catch myself when I fell on ice, twice. I still went to work for three weeks with the torn shoulder and fractured bone.

Three cheers for high pain tolerance.

I hate lying, so I have to tell people that I managed to sleep the wrong way and hurt my shoulder.
